Hi!  I'm Carrie and I am the resident curl specialist here at Total Knockout Salon. I came to TKO about a year ago while I was still finishing cosmetology school and started full time in May 2022. 

As someone with curly hair (and red curly hair, for that matter), I personally know the journey hair can take you on. In 2019, I began my own curly hair journey at first as a side hobby, eventually blossoming into something more than that. I wanted to better care for my curls and help them reach their fullest potential. Between finding products that are healthy and good for my hair, an awesome stylist, personal research, and pursuing curl education with specialists around the US, I have landed here and I am 'hair' for all my curlies! 

Through education, collaboration, and some hands-on work, I strive to help my clients live their best curly hair lives, whatever that may mean for them. 

In addition to curls, I also enjoy hand-painted hair techniques and hair cutting. 

 

Outside of hair, I am actually a professional musician with degrees from Eastman School of Music and Manhattan School of Music in Viola Performance. You can occasionally spot me playing with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra or teaching at the Hochstein School!

I have 2 cute and crazy dogs at home and a husband who has no hair on his head.
